Bursaries for members
The Vicky Quarshie Memorial Bursary for Headache Specialist Nurses
Vicky Quarshie was a Headache Specialist Nurse who was greatly respected by staff and patients of the Hull headache service and the wider headache community. Sadly Vicky died in 2020. A memorial bursary has been set up in her name and a Memorial Lecture is given at the Biennial Hull Conference.
This bursary is to help members of BASH who are Headache Specialist Nurses. Approval of other activities related to headache may be considered by the panel too.
There are 4 bursaries of £250 each and these are allocated on an annual basis (starting in April).
Applications will be approved by a panel including the Chair, Education officer and Treasurer of BASH. The decision is at the discretion of the panel.
If you are interested in applying for one of these bursaries, please submit your application using the form. We aim to reply to successful applicants within 4 weeks.
Successful applicants will be expected to supply a Certificate of attendance after the course and write a short blog piece of 500-750 words about what they learned or gained from their attendance at the course/conference within 4 weeks of attending.
Once these are received, payment of the bursary will be arranged.
